What's new in Mailcoach.

Follow the weekly product updates, improvements, and fixes that make Mailcoach better for every email you send.

Image uploads through the API and MCP

New

  • Images can now be uploaded individually or in batches through the API and MCP, returning hosted URLs for use in emails.

Improvements

  • MCP clients that only read the first page of available tools can now discover the full Mailcoach tool catalog.
  • Subscriber imports on Mailcoach Cloud now process separately from delivery feedback, reducing competition for background processing.

Expanded MCP tools and more reliable subscriber imports

New

  • MCP clients can now create, update, and delete email lists and subscribers, manage subscription confirmations and status, and work with tags and segments.
  • Bulk subscriber imports from CSV data can now be started through MCP.
  • MCP clients can now send campaigns immediately and delete campaigns or reusable campaign templates.
  • Automation emails can now be viewed, created, updated, and deleted through MCP, and webhook automations can be triggered for selected subscribers.
  • Transactional emails can now be sent and resent through MCP.
  • MCP clients can now inspect individual email sends and tracked-link click totals.

Improvements

  • The Lettermint integration now supports version 2 of the Lettermint Laravel package.

Fixes

  • Campaigns now stop sending when an audience exclusion references a deleted list, preventing delivery to a broader audience than intended. Running campaigns pause until the exclusion is corrected and sending is manually resumed.
  • Saving a reusable template now preserves the editor’s scroll position, and repeated previews display the latest saved content without scrolling the page.
  • Images uploaded through Unlayer are now more reliably replaced with their hosted URLs when the editor takes longer to update.
  • Templates with editable text or image slots no longer incorrectly show a warning that they have no editable content area.
  • Subscriber imports now handle retries and completion more reliably, keeping progress counts accurate and avoiding repeated unsubscriptions when background work is retried.
  • Concurrent subscriber import jobs no longer deadlock when updating import progress, and existing self-hosted installations can continue importing without applying the new progress migration.
  • Imports using the option to unsubscribe missing subscribers now avoid locking unrelated subscribers while processing the list.

Engagement segments and automation builder fixes

New

  • Last-open date segments now offer an option to include subscribers with no recorded opens when selecting contacts who have not opened an email since a cutoff date.

Fixes

  • Deleting an action inside an automation condition or split branch now removes its card immediately.
  • Automation condition dropdowns now appear above branch connector lines, keeping their options visible.
  • Visiting your workspace’s address directly while signed in now takes you to its dashboard, while configured public list websites remain available.

Automation and transactional mail reliability

Improvements

  • Mailers without explicit throttle settings now consistently default to five emails per second, matching the value shown in the settings interface.

Fixes

  • Automation emails shared by paused and active automations now continue sending for the active automation instead of remaining pending.
  • Transactional mail log detail pages now load and preview messages correctly.
  • Invalid Postmark webhook signatures are now rejected cleanly instead of being reported as server errors.

MCP compatibility and subscriber sorting

Improvements

  • Mailcoach’s MCP server now supports OAuth callbacks from Cursor’s web agent and Grok bot.

Fixes

  • Subscriber tables now sort the date column correctly across subscribed, unsubscribed, and unconfirmed contacts.

Sending safeguards and editor polish

New

  • Mailcoach now shows a persistent warning when a managed sending domain has ownership, DKIM, or Return-Path DNS issues.
  • The Markdown editor now uses your browser’s native spellchecker.

Improvements

  • Editors now warn when a selected template has no editable content area and explain how to add one, while keeping editing, saving, and previewing available.
  • Complex tag-based audience segments now load more efficiently, with safeguards that prevent listings, counts, exports, and campaign preparation from running unbounded database queries.
  • Amazon SES configuration sets are now validated before sending, and affected sends are paused after repeated permanent configuration failures.
  • Background cleanup work now avoids overlapping runs and limits long-running database queries, reducing unnecessary queue and database load.

Fixes

  • Reusable and transactional template previews now display compiled content correctly on first load and after editor updates.
  • Automation actions without editors, such as Halt and Unsubscribe, can now be added and saved reliably.
  • Emails with minified CSS ID selectors now render correctly instead of being misread as Twig comments.
  • Campaign click API responses no longer fail when the associated subscriber has been deleted.
  • Concurrent subscriber imports now use isolated temporary directories so they cannot interfere with each other.
  • The Amazon SES setup wizard now detects invalid saved credentials and returns you to authentication with a clear error.
  • Background jobs and onboarding subscriptions now stay within the correct hosted account context.

More reliable split tests and audience reporting

Fixes

  • Split tests now wait until every variant has sent its test emails before starting the observation period, and the displayed results stay aligned with the statistics used to select the winner.
  • Email list performance charts now calculate subscriber totals correctly across date ranges, including subscription and unsubscribe activity within the selected period.

Campaign controls and automation reliability

New

  • Campaigns can now be paused and resumed from Mailcoach, the API, or a connected AI assistant.
  • Date-based automation triggers can now repeat weekly.

Improvements

  • Scheduled campaign screens now show the delivery time in your browser’s timezone.

Fixes

  • Incomplete nested automation actions can no longer leave an automation partially saved or corrupted.
  • Merge tags added through the visual editor no longer insert extra whitespace before punctuation.
  • “Sent with Mailcoach” links no longer include an unnecessary slash before tracking parameters.

Campaign editor polish

Fixes

  • Campaign content action buttons no longer flicker while saving, and the Preview button remains available.

Campaign draft previews and tracking reliability

New

  • Draft campaigns can now generate signed share preview links, so reviewers without Mailcoach access can preview a campaign before it is sent.

Improvements

  • Authorized users can now open draft campaign webviews while they are signed in, making it easier to review campaign previews before sending.
  • SES open tracking is now placed near the top of campaign and automation emails, improving open tracking reliability for long messages that Gmail may clip.

Fixes

  • Subscriber imports now trim extra whitespace around email addresses before validation, preventing valid rows from being rejected because of pasted spacing.
